I don’t know, but some of you might know, that February is Maria’s favorite month and also her month of birth. 

So i thought i dedicate this whole entry to February and all its interesting and lovely facts =)
Here you go….

February comes from the Latin word februum which means purification.February is the  2nd month of the year in the Gregorian calendar. It’s the only month with twenty eight days. In leap year,which occurs every four years, February has twenty nine days.


Birthstone : Amethyst, which is purple quartz. It symbolizes clear-headedness and quick-wittedness.


Flower :  Iris ( Greek for rainbow). The Iris represents faith, wisdom and hope.


Astrological Signs : Aquarius and Pisces


St. Valentines Day : This was orginially thought to be the day on which birds chose their mates. There are many traditions, associated with romance activities on Valentines Day including :



  • the first man an unmarried woman saw on 14th February would be her future husband.
  • if the names of all a girl’s suitors were written on a paper and wrapped in clay and the clay put into water, the piece that rose to the surface first would contain the name of her husband - to - be.
  •  if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valetines Day, it meant she would marry a sailor. If she saw a sparrow, she would marry a poor man and be verry happy. If she saw goldfinch, she would marry a rich person.

This might be the very first time you’re hearing about Maria Zouroudis - well it took you long enough !
Maria is a Greek-American songstress from Miami,FL and well known for her amazing covers and original songs on Youtube.
This is her powerful, heart-warming original song called Daydreaming :) 

She started her career on Youtube in late 2007 and her videos got watched over 5 million times up to now.

But Maria is not just an amazing songstress with an incredible voice, but also one of the most caring, genuine persons i’ve ever come across.
A big shoutout from Germany to Maria..when you’re reading this and i’m sure you will - you are wonderful ! :)
